Sanitary Pad Drive

Ensure dignity and knowledge for girls' well-being

Most rural school girls do not have easy access to shops to buy sanitary pads, they have to walk long distances for example 10kms and they will be no guarantee if one can find the sanitary pads. Also affordability, sanitary pads are expensive in rural areas because a few people if not only one individual will be selling them in the whole community/village, the country’s difficult economy and the society has neglected the girl child, all these are contributing to period poverty.

  • Help us reach our Goal

Our Sanitary Pads Donation Drive will be carried out in phases, targeting different areas with underprivileged girls in Zimbabwe

They suffer/complain about friction burns on their inner thighs during their long journeys to school due to chaffing of wet non-absorbent material used to make menstrual cloth. Most of them resort to using cloths, tissues and rags due to lack of access to sanitary pads.

Menstrual hygiene management requires availability and access to soap, towels, disposal facilities such as suitable waste bins for disposal of used menstrual materials however most schools in rural areas have inadequate facilities.
